So much of the content we create is images, so why don't we spend the time necessary to optimize our images for the greatest effectiveness?
How exactly does one go about optimizing your images? In this video, we discuss four important methods for creating beautiful images, all the while not getting in trouble.
1 - Get a stock image account. This will be an expensive cost, but it will be worth it. This way, your business will have access to thousands of high quality images with many different options. These images can be licensed so that you are allowed to manipulate them, brand them and use them as you wish.
2 - Brand your images. It is very easy to write an article or create a video and use a simple image to go with it. How about taking a few minutes to put some text over the image with a specific font? How about putting your logo or a water mark on the image as well? This serves many purposes. For one, people can associated these fonts and image styles to your company, and also every time an image is shared, your logo will be shared with it.
3 - Make sure your images are formatted properly for mobile. When we are creating content on a desktop, it can be easy to forget that most people will be reading this content on a mobile device. When you shrink the content down to the size of a mobile screen, this can cause some issues. I will discuss easy solutions to making sure your images are formatted properly for a mobile device.
4 - Fill in your alt tags. This is especially important for product images. Google knows to display images in product searches and assigning keywords to your product images is a great way to get traffic and to convert sales.
