Hurricane Dorian has been gradually intensifying today, and is a strong Category 1 hurricane in the Western Atlantic. The threat to the northern Bahamas and to Florida is increasing significantly, and the storm could strike as a powerful Category 4 hurricane this weekend. The storm could also deliver huge amounts of rainfall, potentially totalling 20 inches or higher as it moves through, however the track still remains uncertain.
Tropical Depression Podul is weakening over Indochina at this time, whilst delivering large amounts of rain to parts of Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand.
Invest 90W has formed near the International Date Line, and has a small chance of developing as it moves into the Western Pacific,
Invest 91W has also formed near the Philippines, and will likely follow Podul over the next few days whilst remaining weak.
