Hurricane Dorian has been intensifying throughout today, and indications show that the storm is now likely back at Category 3 status off the coast of Georgia. The storm is likely to deliver destructive storm surge and heavy rainfall to the coast of South and North Carolina, where a landfall is possible later this week. The storm should weaken a category at least before this landfall occurs.
Typhoon Lingling is becoming a very intense storm near the southern Ryukyu islands of Japan, and is likely to push through and intensify further as it reaches the East China Sea. The storm could deliver large amounts of surge, rainfall and strong winds to the Korean Peninsula this weekend.
