In Executive Education’s Inaugural Capstone Lecture Series event, Dr. Thomas Lauth considers how leaders of government and nonprofit organizations use budgeting and financial management to attain and sustain policy objectives and maintain accountability. Thomas P. Lauth is Dean Emeritus of the School of Public and International Affairs and Professor Emeritus of Public Administration and Policy at the University of Georgia and author or co-author of more than 50 peer reviewed journal articles and invited book chapters. He was President of the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA), 2000-01 and taught courses, delivered lectures, and presented papers in China, Korea, Taiwan and Ukraine. He earned a B.A. in Government from the University of Notre Dame, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University.
