
This talk features Camilo Condis of Cuba, a CAS in Leadership of International and Non-Governmental Organizations candidate discussing Artecorte, which began in 1999 as a cultural project in Havanna, Cuba. Its goal was to unite hairdressers and barbers in order to promote their trade. Fast forward to today- the nonprofit organization has transformed into a community development association, focused on the social, cultural, environmental and economic vibrancy of a Havana neighborhood. Camilo Condis, CFO of Artecorte, shares his experience working in community development and how his nonprofit has evolved from its inception. About the speaker: Camilo Condis is pursuing his CAS in Leadership of International and Non-Governmental Organizations and most recently worked as Manager and CFO of Artecorte in Havana, an NGO focused on local development. Camilo seeks new tools and experience to elevate his organization’s work standards and professionalism. Camilo earned his MBA from Universidad Católica San Antonio in Murcia, Spain and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Jose A. Echevarria Polytech Institute in Havana, Cuba.
