On May 12, 2017 the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University celebrated the upcoming commencement of its PhD and master's degree candidates at its annual Graduate Convocation Ceremony. Gladys McCormick, assistant professor of history and co-recipient of the 2017 Daniel Patrick Moynihan Award for Teaching and Research, was the convocation speaker and Aygul Mammetnazarova '17 EMPA was the student speaker.
